The Retailer can win big by conforming to simple guidelines

Pay No Sales Tax participation will reward the retailer in a big way providing that simple guidelines are followed. The philosophy is to avoid conditions on sales.

In fact, if a store owner, having joined, begins applying a series of rules and conditions discriminating against shopping members, we want to know about it, and we will have an area where shoppers can report such infringements.

It is intended that a participating store is to keep their prices competitive, ideally as before, with no significant adjustment due to the existence of the network.

The store will charge only the listed prices with no additional taxes or carrying charges. The store owner may account for this as they see fit e.g. lowering the price so that the computed total will then result in the list price, or by remitting the sales tax on their own. The store accountant, afterall, is responsible for remittances, but the shopper is not; so how it comes about can be accomplished in many ways. We all know about 'No GST Days', for example. So it can be done.

This site will offer recognition and store information for participating businesses effectively extending their reach through co-operative advertizing. If the business owner understands that some new customers will arrive due to that exposure, AND that existing shoppers will be happier and shop more often due to network benefits, then their business should pick up accordingly.

The retailer will also display information cards so non-member shoppers can learn about the network.
